Description

The aggressive serrated pattern on a thin, gently back-curved blade simply glides through hard, crusty loaves and tender crumb without tearing, pinching or crushing the foods. Its longer-than-usual size also lends very well to cutting thick rinds from large melons, pineapples, and other tough-skinned items.

The Chroma Haiku Damascus Series is a celebration of the tradition and excellence of Japanese cutlery. Chroma has contracted the highly skilled Master Knife Smiths of the Sumikama company to hand-forge and hand-finish each blade using the traditional forge-welding process. The tell-tale wavy pattern on the flats of the blade are created when the knife is ground and polished into shape.
